100 Word Challenge – Week 1

Emmitt had been interested in photography for as long as he could remember. Due to his hard work and determination, Emmitt had turned his passion into a career. Emitt had become a profound photographer, and he had worked for many famous weddings and events. However, most people do not know his biggest fear- ladybugs. Emmitt had been haunted by ladybugs since he was two. Ladybugs were abhorrent to Emmitt. Which made his situation all the more terrifying. Emmitt had been photographing a beautiful sunset, and he had been surrounded by a swarm of ladybugs. Emmitt wished he had paid attention.

Got Lost in Mexico City Airport!

On March 28, 2018, two scholars from Beta Academy, named Sarah Pyle and Gabriel Doria got lost in the Mexico City Airport. The two had gotten separated from their group, and they did not know where to go or what to do. Reflecting on the event, Gabriel Doria said,” I was just trying to stay calm because I knew if I was worried, Sarah would become more worried.” When asked about the event Sarah Pyle said,” I was petrified because I was in a foreign country, and I did not speak Spanish. I felt a little better knowing that Gabriel could speak Spanish. I also was glad I was with my best friend.” Sarah and Gabriel had gone to get donuts because they had had an early flight. After buying their donuts, they returned to the spot the group had been 5 minutes before. However, the group was nowhere to be found. Sarah and Gabriel quickly decided to stay where they were and ask the people around if they had seen the group. No one had seen the group, so Gabriel and Sarah decided to wait. After 5 minutes, they decided to move because Gabriel had seen some guys watching them. Sarah and Gabriel walked around the airport, upstairs and down. They finally decided to walk to their gate. At the gate, they found their group. Their chaperone, Mr. Benitez, told them that needed to stay with the group. This is a lesson I believe the community as a whole can learn from. If you are in an airport or any public area, and you are with a group, stay with your group. Maybe then, the number of child abductions will decrease.
